“The one month Beta will represent the final stage, before the planned launch of early access later this year. As we transition into this new phase, we invite all gamers to join our community in shaping the future of The Lost Glitches,” said Franco De Cesare, head of publishing and marketing for Mimunga, in a statement.
The open beta is last significant milestone in the developer’s journey to deliver a next-gen trading card game (TCG) experience with immersive gameplay, role-playing game elements and strategic depth.
“We’re thrilled to have The Lost Glitches live on Xai. This launch showcases our shared vision of creating games that are accessible to all players,” said Alexey Ivanov, CEO of Mimunga, in a statement. “With Xai’s technology, we’ve integrated blockchain elements seamlessly, ensuring that gamers can enjoy our game without any friction, regardless of their familiarity with Web3 ecosystems.”
The Lost Glitches aims to deliver Web3 gaming integration by leveraging blockchain infrastructure to meet the needs of TCG enthusiasts and jumpstart mass adoption for the sector. The game features an ecosystem of expansions and add-ons, including exclusive cards and booster packs for cosmetic upgrades and collector edition cards.
“Seeing The Lost Glitches come to life on Xai is incredibly exciting,” said Soby, a core contributor to Xai, in a statement. “The game’s unique art style and innovative approach to web3 integration are now available for all our players to experience. We’re confident this launch marks a significant step forward in bringing high-quality blockchain gaming to a wider audience.”
Players will be able to provide feedback that will shape the final version of the game when it comes to balance, features and content. Players can also unlock special beta-exclusive items, cosmetics, and titles that will not be available once the game officially launches.
Xai has gained significant traction among third-party game developers. Higher-quality games are being developed with plans to incorporate blockchain technologies, and many traditional game developers are increasingly open to working with blockchain tech. In both cases, developers recognize Xai as the leading ecosystem for their games. As a result, Xai has already publicly announced nearly a dozen high-quality games deploying on its platform, rivaling both the quantity and quality of titles from some of the most well-known traditional indie game publishers.
By the end of the year, we anticipate Xai will announce partnerships with some of the largest companies in the gaming industry, paving the way for strategic deals and initiatives that will drive the industry forward.
I asked what sets Xai apart from other blockchain gaming ecosystems. Tobias Batton, Core Contributor to the Xai Foundation, said in a message to GamesBeat that it is about thes technology and its team.
“In terms of technology, Xai is significantly faster than traditional blockchains, offers a gasless experience for both players and developers, and completely obfuscates wallets from the user experience,” Batton said. “While many blockchain ecosystems have been promising speed and seamless integration for years, none have delivered at the level Xai has. As a result, marquee games are leaving legacy ecosystems behind and migrating to Xai.”
He also said the team behind Xai consists of veterans from both the indie gaming and crypto industries. This unique combination brings a deep understanding of both sectors, along with a vision to introduce blockchain technology to billions of gamers worldwide, he said.
Batton said. “Game developers recognize this expertise, which enhances their confidence in collaborating with our team. Industry insiders are increasingly referring to the ‘Xai effect’—the significant growth in traffic and users experienced by games that migrate to Xai. This success is attributed to both the superior user experience enabled by Xai’s technology and the veteran team’s skill in running effective marketing campaigns and optimizing conversion funnels.”
